What to wear 

It is best to avoid patterns, logos and stripes so that your photos don't become dated and detract from your faces.  Choose plain coloured clothes - jeans and a single coloured shirt is a popular choice.  If more than one person is to be photographed try to ensure that you do not have strong colour clashes.  Talk to us about your ideas - we'll be able to advise what options will work best for your shoot.

Babies & Children

Photos of your littlest one are lovely when they are just in a nappy or a nappy & singlet or naked - we'll ensure the temperature in the studio keeps them warm & comfortable. If we are to photograph you and your baby together this can be skin-to-skin or just in plain white or black clothing so that the emphasis is kept on your baby.

It's also best for us to book your shoot time for when your little ones are rested and fed so that they are as content as possible!

The Photographic session - location and studio.

We aim to make your experience with us relaxed and fun. In fact many of our clients comment on what a great feeling the studio has with its open bright space and views

To begin with over an espresso or cool drink we'll discuss the type of style you're looking to achieve with your shots - fun, formal, relaxed, quirky...... Once we have settled on the style we move onto the actual photo session.  Creating the right mood is a key part of a successful shoot.  So to achieve great spontaneity we usually play upbeat music during the shoot.......sometimes loud!   It's amazing how this and a little dancing and posing makes such a difference.  You can even bring your own favourite music to play through our system if you would like. 

After shooting you and your family in variety of different individual and group pictures, we'll compile your portfolio whilst you enjoy refreshments and the kids are entertained with a video or Playstation in the studio.

Then for the "big moment" when go through your images on a larger than life projection screen. This slide show is always an enormously enjoyable part of the whole shoot - the whole experience is described by our clients as great fun and often quite emotional. 

Of course, as much as we think our studio is a great location, we can also shoot at any other venue or setting you have in mind, indoors or out - let us know what your preferences are and we can discuss alternatives with you. (We have a few Favourite spots).
